Join us for an introduction and overview of the Village Initiative to date, including boundaries, general goals and a timeline. We'll offer an outline of the concept then open the floor to your ideas and suggestions to fill in the blanks.
A Plan to Fix Village Roads with TLT Funds

OVI Volunteers have surveyed Village roads, researched the costs and assembled a concrete fiscal plan and schedule for paving Village roads with tourism tax revenue ("TLT") that incorporation would divert from the county to Oceanside Village.
Partnering with Village Short Term Rentals
Saturday, August 16, 10 - 11 a.m.
Oceanside Village would have the legal authority to work independently with our neighbors who own its 106 short term rentals. This gathering will focus on the transition from county to Village regulation and opportunities to collaborate on issues like parking, visitor conduct and the uses of STR operator fees.
Budget Projections and TLT Spending
Saturday, September 6, 10 - 11 a.m.
Share your thoughts on the budget projections in the "Economic Feasibility Statement" we will submit for approval by the County Commissioners. We will also seek community input on how the Village might utilize the TLT funds the incorporation will divert from the county to the Village council for allocation.
Odds and Ends: What else would you like to know as we decide whether to go forward?

This gathering will address more specific topics, like how the Village could provide financial support for emergency preparedness or begin long-term infrastructure planning. We'll also invite Villagers to share remaining questions or comments as we gauge the community support for proceeding with an incorporation petition to the County Commissioners.
